Nothing finishes a basement like the addition of a custom wet bar for entertainment and style!
This Plymouth, MN home has a perfect blend of family space with the option to entertain easily in a relaxed setting.
Our cabinetry was designed to wrap around the existing wall dimensions. The Homeowners wanted to keep the walkway clear and leave the layout of the room open for their growing Family.
We used alder wood and matched the stain to the existing woodwork found throughout the two story home. Alder wood is often chosen because of its rustic appearance and smooth grain characteristics.
Raised panel doors and flat drawer fronts mirror the style of interior doors and trim keeping the woodwork consistent in the room.
Glass doors and wine bottle cubbies round out the design of the upper cabinet with display options being one of the many focal points of this custom wet bar. The doors were installed in an overlay method which allows you to see the intricate edging framing each door.
The unique design allowed us to install an angled cabinet for storage to the left of the fridge with plenty of space in an unexpected way.
In addition to building the custom wet bar, we also had the opportunity to open up the staircase wall and add a custom rail and wrought iron spindles.
What was once a plain sheetrock wall, is now an open line of vision while entering the basement making the staircase feel more open and bright.
The homeowners chose alternating patterns of spindles in black wrought iron and the rail also matches the existing woodwork and custom wet bar.
Finishing off the design elements, the speckled granite and rustic tile backslash compliment the hues and undertones of the alder wood and stain.
Cheers to your new Bar! We wish you many years of fun entertaining with your family!
